Blackstone Alum McEvoy Forms Private Equity Firm NorthSands (1)

Blackstone Inc. alum Bruce McEvoy is in the early stages of forming a new private equity firm, NorthSands Capital, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

McEvoy was a senior managing director at Blackstone, where he spent 16 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was involved in the firm’s investments in companies including TeamHealth, Vivint Smart Home, Vivint Solar and Performance Food Group Co., filings show. His brother, Randolph McEvoy, joined NorthSands Capital as acting chief operating officer.
