BC Partners Reaches Deal for German Laboratories Group Tentamus

BC Partners will take a stake in Germany’s Tentamus Group GmbH amid strong private equity demand for laboratory assets in Europe.

The private equity firm will work alongside existing Tentamus investor Auctus Capital Partners, according to a statement Friday that confirmed an earlier Bloomberg News report. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

The deal values the food and pharmaceutical-testing company at about 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion), according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information.
