Barclays Hires Credit Suisse Banker Devine as Co-Head of FIG M&A

Barclays Plc named former Credit Suisse Group AG banker Tim Devine co-head of financial-institutions group mergers and acquisitions.

Devine will join Barclays in August as a managing director based in Chicago, reporting to Tim Main, global head of FIG banking, and Larry Hamdan, head of M&A in the Americas.

Devine’s appointment “will ensure that we continue to build upon the already strong momentum in our financial-institutions group,” Main said in an emailed statement. It also emphasizes the bank’s commitment to its FIG M&A efforts, said Gary Posternack, global head of M&A at Barclays.
