Bankia, CaixaBank Boards Set to Decide on Merger Thursday (1)

Bankia SA has called on its board of directors to meet on Thursday to approve the lender’s proposed acquisition by CaixaBank SA, signaling that the two lenders have overcome obstacles to Spain’s biggest banking deal in decades.

CaixaBank will also summon its directors to vote on the deal the same day, the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter is private.
