Banca Profilo’s Top Investor Restarts Talks for Sell Stake: Sole

Banca Profilo SpA’s top shareholder is restarting informal talks with investors to sell a stake in the Italian bank after a failed attempt earlier this year, Il Sole 24 Ore reported.

Private equity fund Sator, which controls the lender, is in preliminary discussions with a group of private investors and entrepreneurs including Italian businessman Andrea Bonomi, the newspaper reported on Saturday, without saying how it obtained the information.

Bonomi is evaluating a deal as a personal investment, instead of through his private equity firm Investindustrial, Il Sole said.
