Bain Capital Said to Buy Ambienta’s Software Firm Namirial (1)

Bain Capital is acquiring a majority stake in Namirial SpA from private equity firm Ambienta, valuing the Italian software developer at €1.1 billion ($1.2 billion), according to people familiar with the matter.

The company’s founder Enrico Giacomelli and the management team led by Chief Executive Officer Max Pellegrini will retain a significant stake in the business, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information.

A deal could be announced as soon as this week, they said.

Representatives for Ambienta and Bain declined to comment.
