Astorg Said to Weigh Sale of Industrial Software Firm AutoForm

Astorg Partners SAS is considering a sale of AutoForm Engineering, the Swiss maker of industrial software used by BMW AG and Ford Motor Co., people familiar with the matter said.

The French buyout firm is working with Evercore Inc. and Jefferies Financial Group Inc. to gauge interest in AutoForm, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information. The business could be valued at about 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) to 2 billion euros in any deal, the people said.

AutoForm is likely to attract interest from private equity firms and strategic suitors, the people said. ...
