Aquarian Seeks More Backers for $4.1 Billion Brighthouse Deal

Aquarian Holdings has approached prospective investors to take a piece of the roughly $3 billion committed by Mubadala Capital to support its acquisition of insurer Brighthouse Financial Inc.

Some institutional investors have committed to take a piece of the financing, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. Aquarian has also been working with FocusPoint Private Capital Group, which helped secure commitments from high-net-worth individuals for a minority of the financing, the people said.
