Amazon’s Whole Foods Explores Building Off-Site Kitchens: WSJ

Amazon.com Inc.’s Whole Foods Market Inc. is exploring building and buying off-site kitchens to make prepared meals for its stores, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The move would help the company to better control the quality of its prepared foods, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. It would also reverse the company’s 2017 decision to close its kitchens in order to cut costs.
