Allkem, Livent Shareholders Approve Lithium Merger Deal (1)

The merger of lithium rivals Allkem Ltd. and Livent Corp. took a step forward, after shareholders of both companies approved the deal designed to create a top-three producer of the crucial battery metal.

Allkem shareholders voted on Tuesday to greenlight the merger, with nearly 90% of ballots cast in favor of the deal. Livent shareholders also approved the deal, according to a statement.
