Alantra Hires Ex-Rothschild Consumer Investment Banker Poerschke

Alantra Partners SA hired former Rothschild & Co. managing director Michael Poerschke as a partner to expand its consumer, agriculture and ingredients investment-banking business.

Poerschke, who led Rothschild’s consumer ingredients coverage in North America, worked at the French investment bank for 16 years after starting in Frankfurt. He will continue to be based in New York, where he’s been for over a decade, mid-market specialist Alantra said in a statement.

He left Rothschild earlier this year, according to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. data.
