AIA Taps McKinsey and Mercer for Review After Tucker Returns

AIA Group Ltd. has engaged with consulting firms including McKinsey & Co. and Mercer to undertake a sweeping business review of one of the world’s largest life insurers, according to people familiar with the matter.

The consultancies were asked to examine AIA’s businesses, which span markets from Greater China to Thailand and Australia, and evaluate its workforce, structure and operational efficiency, the people said, asking not to be identified because the matter is private. AIA is also looking for potential acquisition targets, one of the people said.
