Tampnet, which provides communication network infrastructure in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, could be valued at as much as $1 billion in a deal, according to the people.
Deliberations are ongoing and there’s no certainty they’ll lead to a transaction, they said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information. A spokesperson for 3i declined to comment.
