Zuckerman Spaeder LLP faces ethics breach allegations after one of its attorneys allegedly leveraged confidential information in a pitch for new litigation against Blue Cross Blue Shield after being unsatisfied with its $2.8 billion settlement.

The suing healthcare providers alleged Friday that Zuckerman Spaeder attorney Cyril Smith encouraged some class members to opt out of the lawsuit so he can represent them in separate litigation, according to a motion to disqualify Smith.
