‘Zoology’ Children’s Music Co-Writer Seeks Copyright Declaration

A co-writer for the children’s album “Zoology” asked a federal court to declare that he owns or partially owns the copyright to several of its songs.

Travis Warner sued Jacqueline Ankner and her business, Zoology LLC, alleging the defendants wrongfully assert ownership over two songs that Warner says he exclusively controls. Warner also alleged the business wrongfully asserted ownership over five additional songs in Zoology, and that he partially controls those works through a collaboration agreement between him and Ankner.
