Zazzle, Designer Reach Settlement in Dispute Over Font License

Zazzle Inc. won’t go to trial over allegations that it violated the license terms for a trio of fonts and its associated software by installing it on multiple servers.

Judge Beth Labson Freeman dismissed the case Thursday after the parties notified the US District Court for the Northern District of California that they reached a settlement. Nicky Laatz alleged Zazzle, an online marketplace, fraudulently obtained a license for her Blooming Elegant fonts through Mohamed Alkhatib, an alleged undisclosed agent and defendant in the suit.
