YouTube Users Lose Bid to Revive Auto-Renewal Subscriptions Suit

Alphabet Inc. is free of a proposed class action challenging YouTube’s automatic renewal subscriptions, after the Ninth Circuit on Thursday affirmed dismissal by a lower court.

Victor Walkingeagle, Nathan Briggs, and Donald Molina sued under Oregon’s Automatic Renewal Law and Free Offer Law, but the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said in an unpublished opinion that they failed to state a claim for which relief could be granted.
