Youth Sue EQT Entities over Pollution From Compressor, Oil Wells

Two EQT Corp. units failed to disclose the extent of hazardous pollutants being emitted from a compressor station and gas wells near West Virginia homes, four minors say in a new lawsuit.

EQT XL Midstream’s operation of the Knob Fork Compressor Station and EQT Production Co.'s drilling of eight natural gas wells in Wetzel County exposed the plaintiffs to toxic volatile organic compounds and caused chronic health conditions, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
