Outdoor products company YETI Coolers says a rival product infringes several of its portable chair patents.
The Heavy Duty Camp Chair produced by MacSports Inc. and Tofasco of America Inc. is one of the companies’ products that allegedly infringes YETI’s utility and design patents, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
The US Patent and Trademark Office issued YETI’s patents between 2020 and 2024, the complaint says. The company asserts six patent infringement claims arising from two utility patents and four design patents.
