Yeti Coolers LLC shared the personal information of consumers with a third-party online-payment processor without their consent in violation of California privacy law, a proposed federal class action said.
Taylor Smith alleged that Yeti incorporated the payment-processing technology of Adyen into its website, allowing the payment company to intercept and store consumers’ personal and credit card information, track them across devices and networks, and share their information with its merchant partners.
