Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. is facing four proposed federal class actions over a March data breach that exposed current and former patients’ personal information.
Jon Nathanson, Michael Liparulo, Stephanie Harvin, and Michael Wise alleged in separate lawsuits that the Connecticut-based health-care system breached its duties under common law, contract law, industry standards, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to implement reasonable and adequate data-security measures.
