X Worker Gets Class Status in Age Bias Lawsuit Over Musk Layoffs

A fired Twitter Inc. employee can pursue as a class action his age discrimination lawsuit against X Corp. over mass layoffs conducted after Elon Musk took over the social media giant.

The employee showed the roughly 149 other workers age 50 or older who also lost their jobs on Nov. 4, 2022, are similarly situated to him, which is what’s needed for conditional class certification under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
