X Corp. Settles Gender Bias Suit From Musk’s Takeover of Twitter

X Corp. and two former female employees of Twitter Inc. settled a gender discrimination suit filed after Elon Musk purchased the social media platform.

Judge Jon S. Tigar dismissed the suit without prejudice on Tuesday, according to an order filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The 2022 proposed class action alleged that the mass layoff of Twitter employees after Musk’s purchase impacted female employees to a greater extent than male employees, in violation of federal and California antidiscrimination laws. The terms of the settlement remain confidential.
