X Corp. no longer has to defend against a suit alleging it violated a law known as the “revenge porn statute” by allowing an individual to post pornographic images to its social network site without permission.
Plaintiff John Doe, who creates posts on OnlyFans containing sexually explicit content, didn’t adequately allege X violated the Non-Consensual Intimate Image disclosure prohibition, Chief Judge Reed O’Connor of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said in a Wednesday order to dismiss with prejudice.
