The World Boxing Association won dismissal of claims by heavyweight champion Trevor Bryan and Don King Productions that it failed to return a deposit from a scrapped title bout and usurped Bryan’s right to negotiate the terms of another boxing match, a federal court in New York said.
The WBA isn’t subject to suit in New York because it’s incorporated in the state of Washington and has its principal place of business in Panama, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Tuesday.
