Wisconsin Credit Union Hit With Suit Over Google Info Sharing

Wisconsin-based Guardian Credit Union shared the personal financial information of consumers with Google LLC, Linkedin Corp., DoubleClick, and other third parties without consent in violation of state and federal privacy laws, a proposed federal class action said.

Lead plaintiff David Gassman alleged that Guardian incorporated online tracking tools of software providers on its website, allowing the tech companies to collect information arising from consumers’ interactions with the site.
