White New York City School Principal Loses Retaliation Suit

The New York City Department of Education and several officials defeated a White high school principal’s lawsuit alleging civil rights and speech retaliation mostly based on her ethnicity and nationality.

Anna Maria Mule failed to plead that discriminatory acts caused an adverse employment action against her or that the defendants were motivated by a desire to retaliate against her speech, Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto said Thursday for the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, granting the agency’s and officials’ motion to dismiss.
