White Farmers Challenge Biden USDA’s Racial Equity Relief Rules

A group of White male farmers say President Joe Biden‘s US Department of Agriculture unconstitutionally favored minority farmers for disaster relief aid, the latest legal challenge to government and corporate diversity programs.

“Natural disasters do not discriminate, and neither should the Department of Agriculture,” the farmer-plaintiffs said in their complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The USDA broke the US Constitution’s promises of equal protection, they allege, “through the disaster and pandemic relief programs challenged here that it operates under the ‘Emergency Relief’ umbrella.”
