Whistleblower Unable to Proceed With Organ Transplant Fraud Suit

A whistleblower can’t proceed with his False Claims Act suit alleging an organ transplant services fraud scheme by Texas-based hospitals after a federal judge dismissed his case with prejudice.

Whistleblower Patrek Chase failed to show that he should be allowed to amend his complaint following previous orders dismissing his claims against Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and others, the US District Court for the Western District of Texas said Monday. The suit is now closed, Judge Jason Pulliam said in a separate judgment issued the same day.
