West Point Can Consider Race in Admissions During Challenge (1)

The US Military Academy at West Point will be able to consider race as a factor in its admissions process while a case challenging that policy is pending.

Anti-affirmative action advocacy group Students for Fair Admissions, which got a favorable Supreme Court ruling last June against race considerations in university admissions, argued that an injunction would restore a status quo for the academy before it factored race into its admissions decisions.
