WellPath Worker Deal in Kronos-Hack Wage Case Rejected by Judge

WellPath LLC and workers who say it owes them pay after a cyberattack knocked third-party timekeeping system Kronos offline must revamp their proposed settlement after a federal judge raised concerns about the deal.

The settlement includes more than $1.5 million in new funds for workers the medical and mental health care provider allegedly failed to pay properly during the outage. But the workers need to provide more information about their attorneys’ fees request and a proposed service award for the employee who filed the suit, the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee said Tuesday.
