Wegmans Owes Pennsylvania Warehouse Workers Wages, Suit Says

Wegmans Food Markets Inc. failed to pay its warehouse employees for every minute they worked and left some compensation out of its overtime pay rate calculations, a new suit alleges in federal court in Pennsylvania.

The grocery store chain didn’t pay its warehouse workers for the time it took them to get from the facility’s entrance to the time clocks near their work stations at the start of each shift or for making the reverse trip after they clock out, according to the complaint filed Dec. 23 in the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
