WebTPA Hit With Seven Class Actions Over April 2023 Data Breach

WebTPA Employment Services LLC is facing seven proposed class actions alleging it failed to protect people’s personal information that was exposed during an April 2023 data breach.

The plaintiffs alleged in separate lawsuits that WebTPA failed to implement reasonable data-security measures and breached its duties under common law and HIPAA to protect their sensitive information.

David Harrell, Belinda Gullette, Heavenle Wood, Jesus Rivera, Ronnye Hawkins, Cory France, and Sofia Berseneva each aspire to represent a nationwide class of people whose information was exposed. Rivera also seeks to represent a Florida subclass.
