Weber Packaging Sued by Ex-Worker Over October Data Breach

A Weber Packaging Solutions data breach in October lead a former sales representative to sue the labeling company for negligence and state law violations Thursday.

Thousands of current and former employees were impacted by the breach because Weber failed to adequately train its staff, the complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.

Weber also waited until May 19 to begin notifying the class, more than seven months after the breach, the ex-sales representative said.
