WaterWipes USA Inc. deceptively portrays baby and adult wipes as “biodegradable” when they don’t reasonably break down because of how they’re typically discarded, a New York consumer says in a new proposed class action.
The packages’ front label includes the unqualified phrase “100% Biodegradable Wipes,” along with the image of a green leaf, according to Brittany Ann Pace. On the back is a statement that the wipes biodegrade in four weeks, she says.
