A Washington State gun rights group failed to allege a state attorney general’s investigation harmed them, but since the district court abused its jurisdiction it should get a chance to amend and refile its claims, a Ninth Circuit panel ruled Thursday.
The Second Amendment Foundation wasn’t compelled to spend time and money responding to the investigation, and its allegations of operations disruption, reputation damages, and emotional harm were too vague, said the unpublished opinion from the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
