Walmart’s $10 Million Military Job Bias Settlement Gets Final Nod

Walmart Inc.'s agreement to end a class action alleging it failed to pay uniformed service members for short-term military leave, in violation of federal law, received final approval from a Massachusetts federal court, with $3.6 million of the $10 million settlement going to class counsel.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts had preliminarily approved the pact April 30. It set the settlement floor at $10 million and the settlement ceiling at $14 million.
