Walmart Workers’ $2.5 Million Wage Settlement Receives Early Nod

A class of nearly 80,000 Walmart workers received preliminary approval for a $2.5 million settlement in their wage-and-hour suit over pay related to Covid-19 screenings.

• Kathy Arrison and Tristan Smith sued Walmart Inc. alleging it failed to pay workers for time spent on pandemic-related health screenings before they clocked in for their shifts from April 2020 through February 2022.
