Walmart Should Get Some California Worker Wage Claims Trimmed

Walmart Inc.'s request to throw out some sections of a wage-and-hour suit should be granted in part, and the workers should get a chance to amend portions of their complaint, a federal magistrate judge in California said.

The workers accuse Walmart of multiple labor law violations, including failing to pay minimum and overtime wages or provide proper rest breaks. The superstore’s request to toss some of the allegations should be partially granted, Magistrate Judge Erica P. Grosjean of the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said.
