Walmart Inc. must destroy all remaining inventory that contains back pocket stitching designs that are confusingly similar to American Eagle Outfitters Inc.'s trademarked design, a Pennsylvania federal court ruled.
The settlement between the companies includes a permanent injunction against Walmart and its supplier, and also includes an undisclosed payment, according to the court’s order.
Neither company could be immediately reached for comment on settlement details.
Judge Marilyn J. Horan, of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, approved the settlement Tuesday.
