Walmart, Ex-Employee Reach Deal to End Disability Bias Lawsuit

Walmart Associates Inc. settled a lawsuit brought by a former worker alleging he was unlawfully fired after requesting accommodations for his mental health disorders.

The parties reached a settlement resolving Angel Bazan’s claims, according to a notice filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Bazan alleged Walmart denied his requests to take a leave of absence due to symptoms tied to his bipolar and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders.
