The Center for Inquiry Inc. alleged the retailers’ product placement falsely portrays homeopathic products as equivalent to science-based medicines and falsely represents that the products are effective in treating or relieving specific diseases and symptoms. These practices violated the District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act, the group said.
