Voya Financial Ends Bias, Retaliation Suit From Black Workers

A racial discrimination and retaliation lawsuit from a group of Black Voya Financial Advisors Inc. workers was dismissed Thursday by a federal court.

The employees worked under O.V. Williams and Associates, owned by one of the plaintiffs. They alleged that the retirement and investment broker-dealer steered accounts away from them and towards White-owned agencies to give the appearance the Black-owned firm was unproductive, according to their complaint.
