Voxer Adds $26.7 Million to Payout in Meta Streaming Patent Suit

Voxer Inc. is entitled to an additional $26.7 million on top of the $175 million a jury awarded after finding that Meta Inc. infringed patented streaming technology with Facebook Live and Instagram Live.

The additional money is to compensate Voxer for infringment that occcured in the period between verdict and final judgment. It was calculated using the same daily average royalty of $169,012 that Voxer’s expert used in his computation of damages at trial, Judge David Alan Ezra ruled Tuesday for the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
