Volvo Exits Suit Alleging Hybrid’s Electric Range Was Overstated

A woman who alleged Volvo Car USA LLC overstated the range of a hybrid SUV using only electric power failed to show evidence of exaggeration, a federal court said in granting summary judgment to the automaker.

Khadija Laurens alleged the automaker promised that her vehicle, a 2016 Volvo XC90 T8, was capable of driving 25 miles on a single charge, but it couldn’t go that far.
