Voiceprint Storage Privacy Suit Lawyers Pressed on Injury Claim

Seventh Circuit judges hearing a case related to Illinois’ biometric privacy law hammered attorneys on whether the plaintiff alleged the kind of injury that would give her standing in federal court, then asked for further briefing on the matter.

“What allegations are you making that show the kind of harm that would pass muster under our decisions?” Judge Frank Easterbrook asked Monday, a question repeatedly echoed by his fellow panelist Judge Michael Scudder Jr.
