VMware, Investors Get Final OK for $103 Million Settlement, Fees

VMware Inc.'s nearly $103 million settlement of investor claims that it manipulated its revenue accounting warrants final approval, a federal court ruled.

Judge Edward J. Davila also gave a green light to a 25% attorneys’ fee request—nearly $26 million—for the investors’ counsel. The approvals Monday wrap up a suit that’s been underway since 2020 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
