Virginia Lawyer Who Signed Judge’s Name Gives Up Law License

An attorney’s consent to the revocation of his Virginia law license was filed in a federal district and referred to the chief judge.

Attorney Christopher Contreras signed the order from the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board on Aug. 10 and it was filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia Tuesday. Chief District Judge Mark S. Davis was assigned the case.

In the order, Contreras acknowledged that there were five disciplinary complaints against him and agreed that the material facts in the complaint were true. The revocation will take effect Aug. 25.
