A man whose request to renew of his concealed carry license was denied by the US Virgin Islands challenged the regulations saying they violate his Second Amendment and due process rights.
Kosei Ohno sued seeking an injunction requiring the US Virgin Islands Police Department Commissioner Mario Brooks to grant Ohno’s application, arguing the weapon isn’t an assault weapon and is eligible for the permit, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of the Virgin Islands.
