Video Game Maker Bandai Namco Hit With Suit Over Meta Pixel Use

Bandai Namco Entertainment America joined the long list of companies facing a Video Privacy Protection Act class suit over implementing Meta Platforms’ Pixel on its website and transmitting the data it provides to Facebook.

“Given the nature of video game content, which often reflects deeply personal interests, preferences, and values,” that data can’t be disclosed to third parties without sufficient consent, plaintiff Samuel Jesse Garcia told the US District Court for the Central District of California in a complaint filed Wednesday.
